Weiderind (pasture beef) – beef from sustainable suckler cow husbandry

Pasture grazing and plenty of space

The cattle spend time outdoors every day, graze extensively in green meadows and benefit from plenty of space in the open-air exercise yard.

A mother’s love in the herd

The calves grow up together with their mothers in the herd. They can drink their mother’s milk at any time and develop naturally into young cattle. Later, they join a herd of animals of the same age.

Grassland-based feeding

The animals are fed naturally. They eat fresh grass, hay and grass silage. The use of growth-stimulating additives is prohibited.

Switzerland contains a myriad of grassland

In Switzerland, 80% of the land used for alpine and agricultural purposes consists of meadows and pastures. Suckler cows help to maintain our mountains and hilly landscapes.

100% Swiss

Cattle under the Weiderind label are born and raised in Switzerland.

”First-class meat consumption”

Weiderind cattle – the highest level of animal welfare, natural feeding, agricultural conservation in harmony with nature and pasture grazing.

Strict label controls

The farms are regularly inspected by the beef control inspection body and the inspection service of Schweizer Tierschutz (STS) on an unannounced basis.
