Interactive stations

Dotted along the adventure trail are stations where children can solve challenges and play together with Lea and Ben.

Play cow-calf-bull polo and learn about the main diet of suckler cows.

Sustainable feed

Find out why cows wear cowbells and play a song with the bells. Do you know any songs about cows or other animals?

Save lives and throw the aluminium cans into the rubbish bin. Who in the family can hit the mark best?

Young and old alike can ride a mechanical calf.

Breed diversity

What should I do if I encounter a calf? What do I do with my dog Bello, when I have to cross a cow pasture while hiking? What should I do if a cow approaches me? Guide Lea and Ben safely through the pasture.

Hiking tips

Did you know you can’t grow crops on most agricultural land? That includes vegetables, potatoes and grain. Only grass grows there. Without ruminants such as cows, no food could be produced on these lands. Use the magnets to find out where land is best used as meadows and pastures.

Swiss grassland

Would you like to contribute both to the environment and animal welfare when shopping without blowing the family budget? Slide the flaps up and find out which cuts of meat are best for your household budget.

Value for money

Does it take more water to produce a kilogramme of nuts or a kilogramme of beef? Does it make a difference whether the cow is fed with grass or with concentrated feed? Solve the puzzle and find the answers.

Water consumption

Do you see heifers, dairy cows or suckler cows in the pasture? Understand the differences and lead the animal to the pasture. And do you know what a heifer, an intact, a feeder or weaned calf is?

Are cows better at tolerating cold or heat? Bring the cows and calves to the pasture or the stable – depending on the weather.
