A mother’s love in the herd

The calf grows up with its mother in the herd, drinks its mother’s milk and eats grass and hay – it’s as natural as can be.

Pasture grazing and fresh air

From spring to autumn, suckler cows and their calves benefit from unrestricted exercise every day in a pasture or on an alpine slope. Their movements are also not restricted in winter: their visits to the spacious exercise yard guarantees ample space and plenty of fresh air.

A gentle separation – the natural way

At the age of nine to ten months, cattle naturally separate from their mothers. At Natura-Beef, this time is used to enable the young animal to separate from its mother while ensuring the process is as stress-free as possible. This is what makes Natura-Beef so unique.

Grassland-based feeding

In total, 96% of the feed for suckler cow herds consists of grass, hay and grass silage. The rest is made up of maize silage and grain mixtures. The use of soya, palm oil and palm fat and preventive medication is prohibited.

Biodiversity of flora and fauna

Herds of suckler cows make a unique contribution to preserving the biodiversity of flora and fauna. Farms with suckler cows use grazing to promote areas of biodiversity with a proven level of quality.

Switzerland contains a myriad of grassland

In Switzerland, 80% of the land used for alpine and agricultural purposes consists of meadows and pastures. Suckler cows help preserve our mountainous and hilly landscapes.

100% Swiss

Natura-Beef and Natura-Veal animals are born and raised in Switzerland.
